Capstone brief:

My capstone is about a treasure that we see every day but we do not appreciate, well they are palm trees! According to a statistic by the Ministry of Environment and Water, UAE have more than 40 million palm trees, which covers 30% of the land size. Palm trees had played a very important role in the past, were people used them in building their houses, feeding some of its’ parts to their animals, making decorated baskets, planting them near their small plants so they will be protected from wind and ate the produced dates. However, people today, and because of the huge development in all the aspects of life, shifted from caring about green life to care about technology. Accordingly, palms lost their great placement that they had in the past, and the more important point that people in the UAE are not aware of the huge number of palms in the UAE, their benefits and their important placement. Consequently, my capstone will be an educative and awareness campaign that aim to aware people about the huge number of palms in UAE. Plus, to educate about the benefits of palms, and to teach them how to plant palms and take care about them.
