[ Process Presentation ]
Every student will have an opportunity to present her unique and meaningful learning experience in public after finishing 10 weeks capstone study. It is a crucial point to get right feedback and critiques to refine your capstone project and be ready to start production. The process presentation is open to Zayed University. Students and should be approximately 10-15 minutes in length. The presentation should show a quick survey of the students past projects, the draft/developing capstone project, its research background and all related sketches.

Your presentation will be graded in this matrix:
- PREPARATION + PUNCTUALITY 25%
- DESIGN: DISPLAY BOARD + ANY GRAPHICS 25%
- DELIVERY: ENGAGING COMMUNICATION 25%
- QUALITY: CONTENT ORGANIZATION 25%

Criteria
Excellent: 5 points quality of work is exceptional; worked very hard
Very Good: 4 points quality of work is very good; almost no flaws; worked very hard
Good: 3 points quality of work is good; minor flaws; worked hard
Acceptable: 2 points didn’t put much thought into some parts
Poor: 1 point not really based on any material studied in the course
Not delivered: 0 point
Most of points below should be documented in your process book for final submission.

The big idea, core concepts or theme, look and feel, and targeted message

Evolution of your design process from sketches to final design

Why and How you take care of the design problems to achieve your design goals
07 Layout
Visual hierarchy, focal point, visual elements, integration, and uniqueness
08 Typography
Use of fonts, relationship to the concept and visual elements: define the characteristics and roles of your font choices
09 Color
Choice of color or color combination: define the characteristics and roles of your color choices
10 Legibility
Present color and black and white version and explain how you improve the legibility without loosing any design quality
11 Self Evaluation
Clarify strength/success and weakness/need-improvement
12 Setting the Tone
Is presentation engaging, energetic, enthusiastic?
13 Oral Presentation
How does the presenter convey the message in terms of clear and good volume avoiding stumbling, blank spots
14 Punctuality
Started and finished on time, no over time or significantly under
15 Conclusion/Epilogue
Address learning points, or hindsight, ask questions or feedback

Is the presentation board well prepared? Layout, trimming, project information: name, course, designer statement

[ Final Presentation ]
The Final presentation will factor into the grading of the students Capstone project. The Final presentation must be 20-30 minutes in length, must be a professional presentation, and be visually engaging and interesting. The student must display their work on their Capstone project and the findings and development of their Capstone document in the exhibition, whether it is on campus or off-campus. The presentation occurs the week before finals, and the exhibit off-campus directly afterwards.

[ Submission: Print outs and CD]
– Each item below 1-4 should have a folder with 2 files;
one final and one process. [file name i.e, yunsun_book.ai/psd/doc, and yunsun_book.pdf]
Don’t forget to reduce your file size to A4. I don’t need a actual size file.
– The process files must be the final stage file only with resources that you have used in either ai or psd.
– CD COVER REQUIRED with your name and course. I know what and how you have done before, so just make sure your submission should be professional.
– Include your Video Narratives and posters if you can. Everything should be in one CD.
1. Catalog Template Submission:
– Read carefully on what I have revised.
– Provide high print quality images to Sara this week and on CD
2. Capstone Document:
– Must completed in word or ai/innd and save/print as PDF.
– Again compress it as instructed.
– Please make sure your writings are proof read by someone else who doesn’t know the project.
3. Display boards:
– Please make sure your writings are proof read by someone else who doesn’t know the project.
– You can print and mount after my approval. If you don’t, you might have to print them again for the exhibition.
– All applications should be photographed and placed on display boards.
– Protect your boards well so your work will be intact till exhibition.
– Write your name on the back.
4. Other Applications:
– All of your applications should be photographed and placed in the display boards: book/booklet, brochure, cards, package, t-shirts, etc.
– Indicate that what you want to display at the exhibition.
– You can also submit any production now if you are ready.
